The Mapping Migration Digital Repository (MMDR) is a resource created by students within Dr. Andrew Maginn’s history classes to highlight movements of historical actors that are not found within traditional archives. This will highlight how black movement throughout the Diaspora was a more common than has been reported within the secondary literature. Through examining these major actors of the Black Atlantic, students find “voices,” that are not traditionally celebrated, and share them with the public.

Beyond bringing these voices forward, the Mapping Migration Digital Repository (MMDR) also aims to provide a template for educators and students to create digital projects.
